Belize – A Journey To The Eden Of The World!

Belize, as a travel destination is no longer the ‘best kept secret’ in the tourism sector. When you look at other places it becomes apparent that Belize was hand-crafted and over seen by Mother Nature herself. Belize has captured the imagination of all sorts of tourists – adventure seekers to nature conservationists…honeymooners to ‘twilight year’ tourists…teenagers to family vacationers. There is a special nook for everybody in Belize. As soon as you arrive in Belize you’ll find out that everything is cheap and close by. As a result it is easy to organise short trips and weekend excursions.
There are a wide range of transportation options arriving in Belize from North America including buses, planes and ships; all of which run on a timetable and so come in at regular intervals. If you’re in North America and you want to get to Belize by boat, that’s very easy too: sail down the Caribbean Sea and experience the beauty before you reach the shore. Let me ask you, how would you get there by road? You would jump in a car, you would jump on a luxury bus anywhere in North and Central America and drive on down. Easy!. These are the some of the prominent cities; (Dallas, Miami, Charlotte, and Houston) where you can get a flight on American Airlines, US Airways and Continental Airlines straight into Belize.
The key to a fruitful and fulfilling trip to Belize is to plan your trip and draw up an itinerary as most of the best attractions are not very far from the centre of town. Let me give you my three top tips that I have found out on my travels to Belize. The first tip is for those who like to eat and drink. Head over to Placencia Village, San Pedro and San Ignacio and all you’ve got to do is find yourself a quaint Mexican restaurant. If you want to be pampered and want to be in a spa that leaves you feeling like a $1,000,000 dollars (not that a million dollars is worth much, sounds good though) then pop down to Cayo and lose yourself in a luxury jungle lodge. If you want tranquillity and privacy then you need to stay at Long Caye or Lighthouse Reef atoll. Slip into that space of no thought for a deep inner peace.
Belize has a multitude of transport options. Among the many options are you can hire a car, take a bus, or take a taxi. Now suppose you want to take a longer trip. What can you do? You can take a plane or take a bus. For those who do not have a grip on reality, you can hire a bike for a small fee. Sometimes time is short so you may choose to fly with the local airline: some people however prefer to take the bus because it allows you to see some of the cultural heritage. Other visitors to Belize prefer to explore via water taxis and ferry because this allow them to see the country from the perspective of the river system and water ways.
The tourists start to arrive between December and June. It rains the most between June and November. If you want to be around when the weather is nicer the best time of the year is between December and May. The abundance of emotion that Belizeans feel for visitors envelopes you at any time of the day you arrive in Belize. As a result of this visitors to Belize buy real estate: it’s no surprise why. If you look at a place like Long Caye you will see that it has two brilliant attributes; the white sandy beaches and the picturesque fishing spots. Because of these two attributes the rise in foreign owned real estate has been unstoppable. Regardless of their visit to Belize returnees have a longing to return and always wish they could have stayed longer.
