Belize is no longer hidden; it’s now out in the open, so to speak.  Compared to other destinations Belize is still a tropical wonderland; Mother Nature herself has crafted this land of contrasts.  I find that when I let my thoughts run through your mind Belize will capture your imagination just like when families, adventure seekers (backpackers) and newlyweds decide where they will go on vacation.  Belize has a secret place for everyone.  Here’s what I like about a trip to Belize, access by land, sea and air is just so easy, hassle free and drama free.  One of the most encouraging aspects of a Belize trip is its easy accessibility by air, land and sea.  There was a time when travelling to Belize meant hardship those times are long gone; now there are air links, road links and access by sea.  On arrival you can enjoy the benefits and convenience that the locals enjoy: cheap travel, close proximity of tourist attractions and the ease of planning your weekend away

Getting to Belize from anywhere in North America is fast, easy and convenient with scheduled services for buses, flight and cruise ships.  If you own a boat or can borrow a boat you can come down the Caribbean Sea and enjoy the outlying islands before you reach the shores of Belize.  If you are a road warrior, then you can plan on taking a luxury bus or even drive to Belize from anywhere in North and Central America.  Flights from major cities like Miami, Dallas, Houston and Charlotte are operated by American Airlines, Continental Airlines and US Airways

An itinerary is essential because for a country as fantastic as Belize you will find that the major tourist attractions are all within easy travel distance.  Here are three tips that will help you get the most out of your trip to Belize.  The first is for those who want to absolutely indulge.  Visualize yourself in a luxury spa in a jungle lodge in Cayo.  If you want serenity and peace of mind head over to Light Reef Atoll or Long Caye.  If you want tranquillity and privacy then you need to stay at Long Caye or Lighthouse Reef atoll.  Slip into that space of no thought for a deep inner peace.

Getting around Belize City is very easy due to the abundance of taxi companies, car rental companies, buses and water ferries.  You might want to consider taking a plane or a bus if the trip is longer.  For the more adventurous kind, rental bikes can also be availed of at very reasonable prices.  For some people the allure of hiring a bicycle and exploring the city from the ground level is much more appealing, and so because of this the bicycle is well within the budget of everyone.  However, some tourists prefer to take the buses because it allows them to see the country from the ground up instead of from the sky down..

The tourists start to arrive between December and June.  It rains the most between June and November.  If you want to be around when the weather is nicer the best time of the year is between December and May.  Belize is one of those places that when you arrive you can instantly feel the warmth of the people; you feel protected and cared for.  I especially love the character of the Belizean people because they are convivial and pleasant.  It’s no wonder that many of the visitors end up buying the prized  real estate in Belize.  There is a place in Belize called Long Caye.  Long Caye has pristine, white beaches and unbelievable fishing spots Long Caye is also one of the most popular places where foreigners are buying real estate.  This is why when foreigners return home they replay in their mind those long, lazy warm days and wish that they could have stayed longer.
